SLVL

One world. A different game every month.

Monthly gig drops for hard techno artist SLVL. His world is videogames, and every month he lands in a different one. A GTA heist in February, a 16-bit arcade in March, Pokémon in April, Minecraft in June. The dates change. The game changes. The world holds.

The Overworld.

June built in Minecraft, block by block. A village square, watchful locals, one artist who does not fit the grid. Six slides from the drop.

NACHT WACHT × ALTRUISM × SPOORZONE

Spoorzone.

A hybrid shoot with videographer Jos van de Leur, in a forest in Arnhem. He shot the live footage and cut the film. We made the shots you cannot film: a wolf keeps watch, the moon in its eye. Trailer and campaign art for the night at the Koepelhal, Tilburg.

TOXIC MACHINERY

Fed to the machine.

Gig drop for hard techno artist Toxic Machinery. A creature with a DJ controller for a head hunts them through the club. There is no getting away: it catches them, and their April and May dates are read straight off its screen. Not a prop for one drop. A villain, built to return with the same face every time.

A house carved in ice.

What if SPARKD made LOEWE's next campaign? We built it to find out. A frozen world that will not hold: the logo cut into a wall of ice, the bag itself half leather and half ice.

Megamare.

Sea salt dried on cold skin. Wet basalt and kelp, the hour after a storm. The world resolves into the bottle. Skin remembers the sea.

Terre Fertile.

One drop, followed all the way down. Sky, dry earth, root, first green. The bottle stands where it landed. You are what one drop made.

One drop splits in two. Pop-yellow banana against ink-black oud. A seam that refuses to blend. Two sides, one you.

LOVEH8 · OCTANE AGENCY

One breaks. One drowns.

Launch films for two clients in the UK. LOVEH8 is an event, launched by an artist agency. Octane is a new hard techno agency out of Glasgow, started by the owner of Gearbox. Both went live with a film instead of an announcement.

The machine heart.

A concrete warehouse, lasers, a crowd in silhouette. The camera dives through the body to a chrome heart, still beating. Then the heart breaks: LOVEH8.

OCTANE AGENCY · UK

Liquid chrome.

Octane is fuel, and here the fuel is chrome. A white room and a set of decks, and then it floods: the dials, the headphones, the walls. The room drowns and the logo surfaces: Octane Agency.

THE CONGREGATION

Two shrines. Wrong crowd.

One formula: things that should not go together. A Shinto shrine in drift smoke, a last supper in balaclavas. The collision is the point, and it only lands if every frame is played dead straight. Made when the brief is ours, and this is the film a rapper should be standing in.

Neon Shrine.

Tokyo after midnight. Neon above, wet asphalt below. Drift smoke rolls past a Shinto shrine. Incense burns in the exhaust. A kitsune mask at the wheel.

A derelict cathedral at night. Cognac fills the baptismal font. A last supper in balaclavas. A pit bull guards the altar. Liturgy, rewritten.
